Travel Logs

Travelers have always felt compelled to give account of their journeys. Historically, it is a rich tradition that often tells us just as much about the traveller as the foreign lands transversed. On a more personal level, that recounting can be of benefit to both the speaker Рcongealing memories and validating experiences Рand the sometimes curious (but almost always patient) listener.

  • In conjunction with a very special cataloging job, I was flown to England for research. The work was based in Lewes, though we took a side trip to Brighton. From there, I took the train to Oxford and London before reluctantly returning stateside. April 2009.
